ABSTRACTS

Abstracts are concepts. These concepts will varies and is subjected to ones personal interpretation. It is a paradox where there is no wrong, and no is right way for anyone to interpret its true meaning. The essential nature of Abstracts is to let the conscious and un-conscious mind merge to produce an image or a feeling that is associated with the viewer imagination. In today’s Modern Art World this concept has been adulterated, and it is reduced to a common denominator, giving way to rash of modern day Artist the licenses to be lackadaisical in their in their skills. The commercialization of Abstract Art spawned a flurry of over night artist in this area. They stand from a far, and throw buckets of paints on a canvases, and say this is Art…..this is “ABSTRACT” Some artist have the gall to proclaims ” Oh well Picasso did it….Oh He is my inspiration”…. Bull…! This trend disturbs me tremendously. Picasso was a Master of Realism in his earlier paintings... So like any true Master, Picasso learned the rules, and then he broke all the rules. So was the American Master Jackson Pollack. Masters I tell you, Masters!

Personally, if I am looking at an abstract work of Art and it is incomprehensible to me. I have no problem owning the fact that it is over my head. I need to know what I am looking at, and to identify the feeling that it evokes in me. If I feel nothing, I am not ashamed to say aloud “I don’t get it.” God forbid that anyone should try to convince me of his or her interpretation. This would infuriate me, as I know that they are only spouting something that they have read or heard someone else said. My remark is always the same, “My mind is made up, don’t confuse me with facts.” We simply have to ask the artist what they were thinking, or what the hell, were they smoking, “because I don’t get it.” The bastardization of Abstracts, had forced me to perceive it as “Fads.” I have seen many bad examples in this category of Art, that I had per judged it and condemn it as not worthy of my attention. I thought that it leads me nowhere and it was meaningless and contrive. I believed that I had nothing new and refreshing to bring to this arena, and if I cannot be good at it, I certainly did not want to bad at it. It had never really interest me, but my later examination of my self, I copulated, and revise my pervious beliefs and my convictions. I do have something new to add to this concept, in a very enlightening and informative, way that is important.

In my interpretation of abstracts, I became more flexible in my approach employing my techniques to enhance the concept. With my skill and knowledge of color Theory, combined with my feelings and movements, I have at last find the solution to bring new life to an area of art that has been too dark for so long. I discover a renewed and define directional goals. I use the inspiration from the earlier Masters in this field, Picasso, Dali, Revera, Kahlo, Khan, and Pollack. Their works have impressed me with their passions, direction, executions, and convictions. Their work of Abstracts Art breaths life and they tell a story. This I understand. Abstracts may look very simple, but they are far more complex that anyone can imagine
